The Ohio Vapor Trade Association (OHVTA), is pleased to announce that, as the oldest state level organization in Ohio supporting small business and consumer interest in tobacco harm reduction alternatives to traditional tobacco, we are supporting the efforts of Right to be Smoke Free Coalition (RSF) in filing a lawsuit challenging the FDA’s deeming regulations.
OHVTA has been working with our Ohio lobbyist in state affairs since early 2014. We are now also making direct efforts into federal level advocacy. Supporting the RSF is a natural next step towards these efforts.
Ohio has a very vibrant and active community of businesses and consumers of e-vapor and smoke-free products, as well as many strong advocates for Tobacco Harm Reduction (THR) strategies.
We are proud to announce our efforts, as well as many national and state groups, including the American E-liquid Manufacturing Standards Association (AEMSA), Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association (CASAA), Smoke Free Alternatives Trade Association (SFATA), Shenzen Electronic Vaporizer Industry Association (SEVIA), Not Blowing Smoke (NBS), American Vaping Association (AVA), Tennessee Smoke Free Association (TSFA), Kentucky Smoke Free Association (KSFA), Maryland Vape Professionals (MVP), Georgia Smoke Free Association (GSFA), just to name a few.
OHVTA will be taking donations from Ohio business and consumers, 100% of which will be directed to the Right to be Smoke Free Coalition and used to pay for the legal fees associated with the litigation effort. We will be announcing the donation and fund raising pathways, as well as other support efforts very soon.
